The Accumul8 range of Preserves with a Purpose are made from surplus fruit from community gardens and allotments and local businesses. The profits from these go to fund the Accumul8 creative workshops for young people who live in hostels.
Here’s the full range of Accumul8 products
Moroccan Apple and Date Chutney – with cumin, coriander, cinnamon, ginger, cayenne pepper, dates and crushed black pepper. A taste of the Middle East combined with English apple.
Spiced Apple Chutney – fruity, with dates and sultanas, and spicy with a dash of cayenne pepper, this makes a perfect friend to Chedder, Cheshire or white Stilton cheese.
Apple, Lemon and Chilli Chutney – mmery and savoury, this chutney offers a taste of Provence with a twist of garlic, chilli and mustard seeds.
Spiced Plum and Apple Chutney – plummy, rich and full of spice. This is the jewel of your Christmas dinner.
Apple Pie Jam – conjure up nostalgic fifties Americana with this country-style jam bursting with apples, cloves, cinnamon and lemon.
Apple, Rose Water and Cardamom Jam – dream of Moroccan Hammans whilst lying back and enjoying the subtle, aromatic taste of this concoction. It is something special and will whisk you away to a magical place of deliciousness.
Plum and Port Jam – a preserve which is lush with fruit with a touch of Christmas port running through it, plus an added cinnamon kick. This is a serious jam for people that enjoy fruit, alcohol and the finer things in life.
Spiced Plum Jam – this jam is warm and wonderful, with a taste of Christmas – cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and vanilla and plenty of juicy plums – a definite winner.
Nectarine and Amaretto Jam – this tastes of the summer in Tuscany, a superior jam for a stylish life.
Fig and Apple Jam – a clever combination of fruity English apples enlivened with that irresistible and unmistakable mediterranean flavour of figs. Spread this on your toast in the morning and you’ll be transported to the Cote d’Azur.
Greengage and Apple Jam – a quintessentially English comestible, and very delicious it is too.
Once you have finished your tasty preserve, please return the jar to the YMCA Hostel, 184, Tottenham Lane, London N8 8SG where we will recycle it and fill it with more tasty preserves.
