With support from the @saatchigallery_learning Acc With support from the @saatchigallery_learning Accumulate participants created sculptures using shoes donated by the @kurtgeiger Kindness Foundation.Led by Saatchi Gallery workshop tutors, participants deconstructed the shoes and used various reconstruction techniques to create an array of sculptural pieces including a clenched fist, a parrot and a 17th
century-style bustle costume and a cascading waterfall of textiles.Being able to recycle everyday materials for creativity was a hugely important part of these workshops. Not only for environmental purposes but to show participants how accessible materials can be used to create works of art.Showing participants these skills in experimentation coupled with the technical skills needed to deconstruct objects led to some inspiring and inventive group works. #thepowerofcreativity#accumulatelondon #artschoolforthehomeless #saatchigallery #saatchigallerylearning #recycledartmaterial #recycledartwork #creativeworkshop #creativitymatters #creativityforall #smallcharity #londoncharity #homelessness #youthhomelessness #homelessawareness
