Director: Marice Cumber
Marice set up Accumulate in 2013 to bring together and use local creative skills to help young people living at a local hostel develop their confidence, sense of self-worth and well-being and increase their potential for employment.
Marice’s background has always been in the creative industries, enterprise and education. She has set up and delivered creative business courses in prisons, business support programmes for creative students and graduates and is the founder of UK government best practice projects, Own-it, intellectual property advice service, and The Enterprise Centre for the Creative Arts. Marice now works at Ravensbourne, a Higher Education Institution for the Creative Industries. Ravensbourne is the partner education institution for Accumulate.
Marice is one of the founders of the Crouch End Arts Festival and in 2015 was awarded the Point of Light award for Accumulate by the UK Prime Minister for her work in the community. She was also awarded “Social Entrepreneur Leader of the Year” at the Leadership Awards and has been featured by Hearst Magazines as an Inspirational Woman.
