Accumulate helps young, homeless people to build their skills, develop their wellbeing and improve their lives through creativity. They commit to Accumulate, turning up every week for our creative workshops, and through their attendance and engagement in the Accumulate project, they increase their self-discipline, communication and social skills, become more open to learning and, most importantly, feel empowered to break out of the cycles of boredom, negativity and depression and to move forward more positively with their lives.
As a result of being involved with Accumulate, recent Accumulate participants have gone on to gain employment, come off benefits, take up training opportunities, move out of the hostel into independent accommodation and get back in contact with their families.
Accumulate also offers fully paid scholarships for Accumulate participants to continue their creative learning and study Design and Digital Media (Access to HE Education one year course) at Ravensbourne University London. So far 20 Accumulate participants have progressed onto this course with 8 taking up degree places.
